The Fuck Is He Good At?
My Super Bowl experience this year was the one of the best I’ve ever had and oddly enough it took place 3000 miles from home. Julie, a friend interning over at Variety Magazine was invited to an event hosted by MOFILM to which she took a handful of the Temple crew. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect but it turned out to be a small ceremony and screening for filmmakers all around the world who had created Super Bowl commercials that didn’t quite make the cut. I thought all of them were great, and it was a fun preface to the game as it is broadcast on BBC over here which means no commercials and if you’re American, commercials are half the fun of the game.
After the screening began an endless cycle of free food and beer, which we took advantage of quite heartily. As the game went on well into the night, the five of us met and chatted with filmmakers from all different walks of life. Julie and I met two guys from Minneapolis who have done videos for artists such as Bon Iver and Foo Fighters. Our conversation resulted in them inviting us to come out to their shoot here in London later this week. One of the best aspects of the night though, was spending time with a small group of Temple folk and getting to know one another. With so much happening every day and our lives being such a whirlwind at the moment, it’s a real treat to sit down with a few people and swap stories.
You can watch one of the films screened the other night here, if you so desire. Cheers to Julie for treating us to a fabulous evening.

That sounds sooo amazing! I wish I could have been there and seen those commercials! That’s the only reason I watch the superbowl hahaha
