You Look Homeless
It feels like ages since I’ve posted a plain text entry. Every day has been such a whirlwind and my mind is flooded with things to say but I just can’t seem to organize my thoughts into blog posts lately. I’ll give it a try anyway.
Last weekend I visited Barcelona with some friends from the study abroad program. It was a fantastic few days. I had been there for the first time about four years earlier, but it was a completely new experience to be able to walk the same streets and see the same sights with new friends and at a new place in my life. The only things I had on my to-do list for this trip was to eat paella, nutella crepes, and drink coffee, and I got to do all three!
As I walked along La Rambla, looked up at Sagrada Familia, and saw so many new things that were unique to this trip (like Park Guell which was awesome), I kept thinking back to the last time I visited Spain and how I made a promise to myself that I would return as soon as possible. I couldn’t help but feel a bit of pride that I finally carried it out, four years later. And what a crazy four years it has been.
